Always On-site: Wilson Systems Utilizes Remote Capabilities to Manage Multiple Sites

Wilson Systems operators utilize SitePro's remote monitoring and control capabilities to efficiently operate multiple sites across the state.

For nearly a decade, operators and executives at Wilson Systems have been utilizing SitePro to remotely manage their oil and gas infrastructure.

Remote Advantage

Like many oilfield operations, Wilson Systems has saltwater disposals and other sites spread across the state, often in remote locations. With locations that are hours apart, Operations Manager Jonathan Kittley said it's important to him and his team to have the ability to remotely visualize how the operations are running and be able to make changes to that infrastructure if needed.Wilson Systems Remote

"Our biggest goal from an operations standpoint is to make sure everything is running, so having automation is important," he said. "If something goes down out there, we're getting alerts saying 'hey something happened' which gets us having boots on the ground. The less time we're down, the better."

Supervisory Control and Data Analytic (SCADA) systems like SitePro with remote monitoring and control capabilities allow users to check in on multiple sites within seconds to ensure operations are running as smoothly as possible. Not only does this reduce downtime, it reduces time that would otherwise be spent on the road manually checking those sites, which also increases safety.

"From a managerial perspective, if you're in charge of a site that's two hours away, you can look at the efficiencies of remote control. You don't have to be on-site to take control of your equipment. You don't have to try and walk through an operator who may not be familiar with what's going on there, and you can do it remotely," said SitePro's Director of Customer Success Britt Wuensche.

SitePro is also available in app-form, giving users the convenient ability to check on their business from their phone.

“Even if we’re not on location, we can scroll through our phones and look at things and make sure things look the way they should. Having that access is important all the time," Kittley said.

SitePro's robust data and analytics system updates within seconds. And as that data updates, if a data point reads as a quantity outside of an existing setpoint, users can opt to receive instant alerts either to their phone or via email.

"We will get alerts if there is a high tank level or valve is shut or if the power goes out," Kittley said.

This allows him to make adjustments instantly or send someone to check on the site to make any necessary changes, reducing downtime.

Streamlined Ticketing and Reporting

As saltwater disposal operators that deal with oil and gas fluid transactions day-in and day-out, Kittley said his team uses SitePro's ticketing and reporting features often. The Ticket Center and Regulatory Reporting Center includes functionalities like digital ticketing, bulk editing capabilities, and customized autofill reports, making ticketing and a reporting a breeze.

Kittley said his team also uses the ticketing systems to monitor which trucking companies are utilizing the disposals and expedite invoicing to those companies.

"They also use our P18 ticketing tool so you can generate your P18s digitally instead of having to put them all in spreadsheets or something less efficient," said Wuensche.

"It's a tremendous time-saver for us," said Kittley.

We're proud to partner with businesses like Wilson Systems to help efficiently manage their critical infrastructure.
