Employee Spotlight: Ryan Smith

We have some pretty amazing employees here at SitePro, and that's why we like to feature them in our Employee Spotlight series. This series aims to highlight our colleagues who have gone above and beyond to help our customers and team members. So without further ado, introducing our newest Employee Spotlight, Ryan Smith!

Ryan joined the team almost three years ago and is SitePro's Product Owner. As a member of the Product Team, Ryan said he gets to do a little bit of everything. 

"My role covers helping manage the backlog, planning strategically, working closely with developers, testing APIs and web/mobile releases, and talking directly with customers and regulatory agencies. From creating tasks and user stories to seeing features fully launched into production, I’m involved at every step of the process," he said.

As a matter of fact, Ryan has led the charge in working directly with the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) to ensure our software (and thus customers) is in compliance with the state's oil and gas regulations. 

"It’s been impressive to see him take ownership of such a critical initiative," said SitePro Product Manager Sean Simmons. "Building trust with a regulating body like the RRC is no small task, but Ryan has approached it with professionalism and persistence. Regulatory compliance is a point of strength for SitePro and he is directly responsible for helping to keep us not just on pace but actually ahead of the competition.  That directly boosts our customers’ confidence in the product and highlights the value Ryan brings to the team and the company as a whole."

And there are other initiatives Ryan and the product team are working toward. As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more intertwined with technology in general, our team is also working to make sure we're utilizing AI for SitePro and our customers' benefit too.

"Our entire Product team recently became AI Product Certified, and I’m really excited to start incorporating more AI into our processes and user experience. Exploring how we can use AI to improve efficiency and deliver more value to customers is something I’m really looking forward to," he said.

As Ryan's direct manager, Sean said Ryan's accountability and openness makes him an incredible asset to SitePro.

"He learns quickly, takes ownership when mistakes happen, and actively seeks feedback while also giving honest feedback in return," he said.

Ryan said his favorite part of his job is his team. 

"It’s legit the best," he said. "Everyone is knowledgeable, supportive, and kind. I’ve learned so much from the people I work with, and that’s what makes coming to work every day so rewarding...I just feel extremely blessed to be part of SitePro, to learn, grow, and contribute alongside such an awesome team that’s driven by an important mission."
