Texas Railroad Commission Now Requiring All Transactions Include Manifest Number

A new amendment regarding manifest numbers has gone into effect for Texas operators and their fluid transactions.

The Texas Railroad Commission is now requiring all oil and gas waste transactions include a manifest number for regulatory purposes starting July 1.

According to the amended documentation, this "requires all oil and gas waste that is transported by vehicle from the location where it is generated to another facility to either by accompanied by a paper manifest or be documented and tracked by an electronic manifest system."

The RRC defines a manifest as "an electronic or paper document used to track shipments of oil and gas waste that is authenticated by all parties (generator, carrier, and receiver) in the transfer of oil and gas waste, and contains all information on the waste type, source, quantity, and instructions for handling."MANIFEST NUMBER REQUIREMENT-1

The good news for SitePro users is SiteControl already allows users to turn on the manifest number within the driver-sign in process to abide by this new rule and maintain compliance.

SitePro's digital ticketing and regulatory reporting features help operators optimize their systems by eliminating paper tickets, reducing errors, and expediting the reporting and invoicing processes.
